St. James v Good Shepherd Soccer Game (5/3/2015)

It was beautifully clear and sunny Spring afternoon, May 3rd, 2015.  Parents lined the benches to route their kids to victory! The St. James 1st to 3rd Graders prepared, once again to meet their rivals, Good Shepherd, on the pitch. Par for the course, Good Shepherd arrived with a dearth of players hoping the Huskies would lend them a hand, or a foot as the case may be.

Improvements were seen all around as the players took to the field. Both teams were passing, moving into open space and calling for the team mates to send the ball their way. The coaches couldn’t be prouder! In the first half Sadie Simpson (GS) scored a hard earned goal against the fighting Huskies! Not to be out done, her brother Hal followed in her footsteps.

Kudos to the goalies and defenders on both teams for keeping  the remainder of the match scoreless!
The final score, 2-0 Good Shepherd.

Saint James looks forward to hosting their final match of the season at home against Temple Israel of Hollywood on Thursday, May 28th. See you all there!
