Coach Pierre has a varied and long-standing passion for the visual and performing arts, including musical theatre, graphic novel creation, and self-taught guitar. A graduate of Occidental College, Pierre performed throughout Italy as a four-year member of the college’s Glee Club, and was granted the Moore Prize for poetry and creative writing in his senior year. Occidental served as Pierre’s introduction to the field of education, where he learned that embracing every student’s emotions, challenges, and imaginations is essential to successful and inclusive learning practices. He has worked with students from pre-K to high school levels in classrooms, daycare programs, and summer camps.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s in English, Pierre joined Odyssey Charter Schools as a teaching assistant, and shortly found his place as a coach for JMG! He’s had the opportunity to connect with so many brilliant students, and looks forward to welcoming new and returning families to a great year!
